Kylie was nominated for Best Pop Release and Best Female.

Unfortunately, she didn't win for Best Pop Release which was announced today. It was won by Sia. Best Female hasn't been announced, but I don't think she has much chance with it.

Sadly, it was expected that she wouldn't win but it is great that she was at least nominated.

But they also used All The Lovers as the theme song for the Tv ad. Could she be perhaps performing on the show?

I doubt she is even going. The last time she attended was in 2002.

@RedLips: She is pretty popular over here at the moment. I think she'll win everything she is nominated for.

Sia who? I don't even know her.

One of my favorite singers LOL

Is this the award I always hear her being nominated for every year but never gets chosen?

She has won it before, but it has been a while.

The last time she won Best Pop Release was 2002 with Fever, and the last time she won Best Female was in 2001 when Light Years was out.

You can see a list of her nominations and wins here: http://www.ariaawards.com.au/history-by-artist.php?letter=K&artist=Kylie%20Minogue

I just noticed that she hasn't won since her last appearance... maybe that's the trick to it

Okay, thank you for the info Melibabi. She seems to be only famous in Australia at the moment but who knows...

That's what I've been thinking, if she comes back to attend the ARIA then everything is going to be different.

On a serious note, I do think it would help...

EDIT: So she didn't win Best Female either. It went to Washington.

Martha Washington?...I thought she was dead.

Now even dead people are winning her awards.

I like We Are Born, but Aphrodite is a way better pop-release than that album is. *sigh*

At least her hard work was recognized with a nomination... (trying to stay positive )

We just want tomorrow to be better than today

Yep, at least she was nominated for something.

The show was complete crap this year. I actually ended up turning them off - for the first time since about 1997... Really disappointed

I would think these show would be damn lucky,if Kylie was on their shows.

Sorry but I don't agree with you and I hope you're being sarcastic or silly...

I think it's pretty stupid to base your liking of an awards show, or any show, on Kylie's attendance

The ARIA's have been great in the past (with or without Kylie's attendance). The only reason it wasn't great this year, is because they changed how it was done.

exactly, just because kylie is there doesnt mean its different. plus whenever she is at an award show its either to perform, accept an award or maybe present an award it hardly makes the show anymore exciting in those few minutes she is on stage.

I guess it would be kind of hard to come up with a sarcastic smiley.

This one = at the end of a sentence usually implies a joke/being funny.
